Hola todos! Well, this week definitely has not been as crazy as the last one haha. It has been a good first week here in San Luis though. Being zone leader is definitely a bit different than being district leader. But it is really fun and I’ve also learned alot from Elder Conrad. We are actually going to Leon tomorrow night because we have a Zone Leader meeting on Wednesday where they are going to give us more training and talk about how we can improve our zones. The area here in Prados, San Luis Potosi is definitely different than my area was in Aguascalientes. I’m actually in the city which is a change and the people are alot different. I’d say that probably the biggest challenge we face in our area is that the church begins at 8 in the morning. So it takes a really committed person to come to church here. Apparently the attendance of the sacrament meeting was like 210 people before the time change and now it is about 150. So that is something we are going to have to work through here. This last week we had a baptism though which was pretty awesome. The guys name is Carlos and is like 35 years old. He was like a golden investigator. Apparently he showed up at a different ward like 2 weeks ago and contacted the missionaries and they started teaching him and he just loves everything. He is definitely going to be a really strong convert. Alot of our work here is with inactive families, which there are alot of, haha so we visit alot of people that are inactive and try to find family members that aren’t members that we can teach as well. We are really going to have to work alot with the ward though because apparently they have had bad experiences with missionaries in the past so they aren’t as helpful as they could be haha. But we are just working like crazy here trying to make a difference haha.

Alma 13:24 “For behold, angels are declaring it unto many at this time in our land; and this is for the purpose of preparing the hearts of the children of men to receive his word at the time of his coming in his glory.” Angels are preparing the hearts of the people to accept our message. As members of the church we need to live in a way to be an example to all so that when the time comes we can be ready to help our family and friends accept the gospel. We can’t preach something we don’t practice. Another thing I have learned is that if we don’t invite the people, the answer will always be no. We can’t take away their ability to exercise their agency by not asking them.
