Well this week sure flew by haha. It was a good one and all the baptisms we had planned went through smoothly, well relatively smoothly because it seems like every time we try and baptize something goes wrong with the baptismal font haha. But it was a really good baptismal service and the spirit was felt really strongly. Both Alma and Guadalupe felt really good they said. Elder Flores who was here before me got permission to come to baptize Alma and Guadalupe asked me to baptize her. They are both people that I feel will always stay strong in the gospel and will help many more come to the knowledge of the gospel. Also, Nicolas and his son Carlim, are both really excited for their baptism on Friday. Most of the people that we have been teaching have gotten baptized or are going to get baptized so we have been focusing alot on finding new investigators. We have been doing pretty good as well and last week we had 14 lessons with member present which is pretty good and we found a pretty cool new investigator named Fransisco. His wife has been to church like 7 times but in a different chapel but wants to get baptized but right now is working on Sundays. He came to church with his two little kids though and seemed to enjoy it quite a bit. We are hoping that his wife Rosario gets her schedule changed so that they can both get baptized in February.
This week should be a busy week though as president and his wife will be coming tomorrow and Wednesday to train us so that should be pretty good. It was pretty fun as well this morning elder smith and his comp Elder Biggs came over and we made some good old fashioned biscuits and gravy and then went and played football with the district. So it`s always good to have some distractions like that haha. Well I’ve got to get going but I love you all a ton!!
D&C 101:16 “Therefore, let your hearts be comforted concerning Zion; for all flesh is in mine hands; be still and know that I am God.” I really like this scripture and is really good especially if you need to make a big decision. Some things we forget that all flesh is in God`s hands, we try to do so many things ourselves when sometimes when need to"be still" and know that God is God. this is His plan and He is not going to let us mess it up. All, we need to put our trust in him by obeying his commandments and everything will work out.
