Ok so maybe not haha I just wanted to get your attention. Well I really don´t have too much to say today haha but I guess I’ll give you an update on the past 2 day. Well this best part of the week for sure was being able to see my family. It definitely makes the phone call a little more interesting haha. It was really nice seeing all of your faces even though I didn´t really recognize like half of you (ok so not so much) but it sure made Christmas special.
After the phone call we went to a part member family to eat dinner. The wife of the family got baptized about 2 months ago and the husband is on the verge of getting baptized. We ate some chicken and some spaghetti. Then we went home and went to bed. The next morning we went and opened all our presents. My companion was really excited about it haha. It really made me laugh because within like 2 minutes he had all of his presents unwrapped. Then we went to church which was a combined service with the ward we share the building with. Not too many members went though because alot went out of town. Also people go all out here for Christmas. At like 2 in the morning people were lighting off m80 firecrackers in front of our house and people were parting until like 6 in the morning. Then after we went and ate lunch with the missionaries from the other ward and then a little later we ate some dinner at a recent convert´s house from another ward that invited all the missionaries in Irapuato to eat. Today we have been with Elder Smith and his comp Elder Wanamaker just hanging out washing close and looking around downtown haha so it´s been a pretty relaxed Pday haha. Well that´s about all I’ve got for this week.
Mosiah 3:5 “For behold, the time cometh, and is not far distant, that with power, the Lord Omnipotent who reigneth, who was, and is from all eternity to all eternity, shall come down from heaven among the children of men, and shall dwell in a tabernacle of clay, and shall go forth amongst men, working mighty miracles, such as healing the sick, raising the dead, causing the lame to walk, the blind to receive their sight, and the deaf to hear, and curing all manner of diseases.6 And he shall cast out devils, or the evil spirits which dwell in the hearts of the children of men.7 And lo, he shall suffer temptations, and pain of body, hunger, thirst, and fatigue, even more than man can suffer, except it be unto death; for behold, blood cometh from every pore, so great shall be his fnguish for the wickedness and the abominations of his people.8 And he shall be called Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Father of heaven and earth, the Creator of all things from the beginning; and his mother shall be called Mary.”
I really like this scripture because it shows the mission that Christ was sent here to accomplish. I know that if we can always keep in mind his atonement that we can really be closer to him.
