Week 3!

March 18, 2010

Hey ya'll it's thursday again! I love p-day just so you know. Not only do i get to write emails and send letters, i get to go to the temple which puts all that i'm doing here at the MTC into perspective. The opportunity to go once a week has definitely been a blessing and it's something i look forward to every week. This week has been pretty sweet. It's kind of weird to think i've been here for 3 weeks already i think 3 weeks is officially the longest i've ever been away from home but i'm doing good. It's been nice to here everything that's been going on at the home base. Sounds like it's pretty crazy as usual. This week was especially cool because Elder Cook came to our devotional on Tuesday. He talked about how we're going out in a time similar to when Joseph Smith called the first missionaries to go to England. It was during the "panic of 1837" when like a thousand banks failed all across the US and it was really bad in Europe too. He said the real estate value in chicago dropped to 14% of the original value! but this economic struggle really humbled the people and he said that the people right now have been humbled and are ready to listen to the message. (By the way happy birthday Seth Asbhy!). but all through the world he said we are going to have more success than we ever had. i'm really excited to get down there and speak now i just need to figure out how to do that haha. Our district is doing good though. For the most part we're all doing what we should. Most of the district that has been here for 2 more weeks than us almost got sent home because they had figured out how to get on Facebook. So all of you who are going on missions soon know that there are rules for a reason and there are pretty severe consequences to breaking those rules. It's cool too, we just got a new district yesterday in our zone so we're no longer the newbs! It's fun talking to them telling them not to worry and that it get's better after the first few hectic days. The Navy Seal workout started getting really intense because this Elder who is in the Army joined and so now there doing even more than before. I decided that it wasn't doing me any good to be sore all day and tired all the time so i decided to just stick to basketball. This is a much better way to relax from the schedule of missionary work.

Did you call the mission president about sending the bible home? (Do you think we would actually do that?!) My Branch pres. said he got a call from a worried mission president who asked if he'd been telling missionaries to send their bibles home. That was more of a joke but if you did that's cool. Everyone thinks it was my parents who called anyway because i told them i told you about it haha. That's pretty sweet that you've been getting some snow up there. Just don't tell me how much pebble has gotten haha. It's snowed quite a few times while i've been down here but it's never really been too cold so it melts right away. By the way the MTC isn't sending a choir to conference. It's kind of a bummer but the choir is still really fun to sing in. By the way, we keep hearing rumors of people getting murdered down in Mexico. What's up with that? is that why people are having a hard time getting visas? There are people who have been here for 3 weeks longer than they were supposed to and they're starting to temporally reassign them to other missions. Hopefully it's worked out in 6 weeks. By the way if anything crazy happens like new york get's nuked or something you should let me know cause we honestly never hear another about the "other world" It's good though in some aspects because it helps us focus. well i'm running out of time here so i'll talk to you all next week. I love you all thanks for being who you are. The church is true, the book is blue, and God loves YOU!

Love your son/your friend/ your cousin/ your grandson/ anything i might have missed
Elder Price

P.S. Oh shoot I forgot to thank you for the package! i got it yesterday so it was perfect timing! i loved the hat by the way it was definitely pretty sweet and what's with the foot massager? LOL. Something that would be really cool is some dill pickle flavor sun flower seeds and maybe another pair of basketball shorts. I also remembered we're supposed to be getting new mattresses tomorrow so we'll see if that's not just an early April fools joke. And Con amor means with love. Gosh i sure hope i don't forget anything else.
